Ideal for loading Boat-Tail Bullets and shooting in Semi-Automatic rifles

.223 Remington Fully Processed Brass Cartridges for Reloading: 223SARB NF

All of our brass is sorted into manufacturer and year, so you get the most consistent brass possible.

Guaranteed once-fired 100% 5.56 x 45 NATO military brass; we buy directly from the military through auctions.

See the “Our Process” page for a complete description of our processing. Here’s what we do:

  • tumble clean in precision ceramic media, then hand sort by manufacturer and year
  • de-prime and full-length size; we use a .220″ diameter expander ball so the neck is expanded to .220″ inside diameter to give .004″ tension on the bullet
  • swage the primer pocket so it will accept a new primer
  • trim the case to a uniform overall length; 1.750” +/- .003 (98% are within .002″)
  • tumble them in stainless steel pins to clean out the primer pocket and the flash hole, as well as the inside of the case
  • weigh and package in bags of 100 and 500

For you single stage reloaders, you can skip lubing and sizing. All cases are full-length sized and ready to load. We check them on a regular basis using a Dillon case gauge.

For those of you who use a multi-stage press, you can skip lubing and sizing too. Plus, the primers go in smoothly, and are nice and snug.

The neck tension on our 223SARB NF is .004” (the inside diameter of the case neck is .220” which puts a .004″ squeeze on the bullet).

223SARB NF was developed for loading boat-tail bullets and shooting in magazine-fed rifles. The increased neck tension will hold the bullet in place when the magazine gets knocked around or when you extract an unfired cartridge from the chamber. A good crimp is recommended when using any brass in a semi-automatic rifle.

Yes, it will work just fine in bolt-action rifles, although many long range shooters prefer a lighter neck tension for better accuracy.

Sold in bags of 100 and 500 by weight.
